Roger was a good friend. He lived just down the block from me...on Lantana. All the guys called him "Tea Bag". Roger was a kick in the ass. A charismatic guy...he had a 30 year old step mom who was an absolute babe, who drove a yellow 64 GTO convertible. Adding to his cachet...Roger was the grandson of Jazz legend, Jack Teagarden....and I think he may have used this luster once or twice to engage the ladies. Roger drove a funny little sawed off English car that we barely fit inside. Regardless, he still got the girls....he was the James Bond of our crowd...well dressed, suave, always had a smooth line.
One great memory is of driving up to his parents cabin at Canyon Lake with Tony Degges and I believe Court Thielman and getting completely sloshed.
Roger was a real prince, a great guy and lots of fun. His smiling face lives on in my memory.

Roger Teagarden was my best friend for years after graduation. We sailed to Veracruz in 1980 in a 38 ft. Downeast cutter rigged sail boat, 1500 mile trip. we won our class in the race and got the trophy for the wildest crew in the regatta. We spent our weekends sailing on the Reverie, on the 4th of july we were at the slip in Clear Lake and Roger commited on how good the weed we were smoking was, you really like it I asked
hell yes he replied. Well that's because it's probably the LSD I dropped in your beer an hour a ago. more later
