The Fritz Knust I knew was a wildman who had an unpredictability that would make Jack Nicholson look like a wallflower. Whenever I saw him at Garner he was usually in trail of Glen Perkins..one of our shining stars...and still a great guy today.
I recall Fritz' dad was an attorney and they owned a ranch like all respectable Texas attorneys. And as recounted on my profile we all had a memorable night at that ranch having a "kegger" while Fritz' parents were in absentia. Of course Fritz presided over this successful catered event...in full teenage glory. May he rest in peace.

Some of us were just "Rexall Rangers", whereas Fritz seemed to be the real deal. There were many hours spent at the Rustic Lounge drinking beer, playing pinball and pool and trying to pick up the strippers (to no avail, and no surprise), and just hanging out. Those were the days; and just some of the memories I have about Fritz.
