Craig Steven Divine, 59, of San Antonio passed away on 26 May, after a courageous 8-month struggle with cancer. Craig was born in Parsons, KS on July 19, 1951. He was most recently employed as a civilian carpenter by the USAF and worked at Lackland AFB for the past 7 years. Prior to that, for over 20 years he was a custom home builder with Marbach Bros. Construction Co. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Peggy Divine and his brother Dennis Divine. He is survived by daughter Courtney Brisbane; brother Bruce Divine and wife Yvonne; sisters Paula Divine, Nancy Soza and husband Jim, and Gail Seipp and husband Kevin; Aunt Rita Pearson; 2 grandchildren; 5 nieces and 6 nephews. Craig's wit and sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him. Craig loved working with his hands, he was a craftsman by trade, an avid gardener, and enjoyed all outdoor activities, especially snow skiing, rafting, and camping. He was an ardent fan of the St. Louis Cardinals Baseball Team and the San Antonio Spurs Basketball Team. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Craig's name. A memorial service and rosary will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, June 2, 2011 in the Chapel at Sunset Funeral Home.
